Course Description
This 12-weekend course will give a comprehensive training in producing short films for cinema and television by senior and experienced faculty and practicing filmmakers.
This course will have the following 12 Modules
- Module 1 (First Week) - Introduction to Cinema - We will have intensive classes on the theoretical aspect of filmmaking, focusing on craft, aesthetics, and the Language of Cinema.
- Module 2 (Second and Third Week) - Film Appreciation - We will screen national and International short Films and full-length films.
- Module 3 (Fourth Week) - Literature, Continuity, and Photostory - We will do a Book Reading of Stories, Dramas, and discuss on Visual Storytelling.
- Module 4 (Fifth Week) - Dialogue Writing, Scene Construction, Mise-en-scène -
- Module 5 (Sixth Week and Seventh Week) - Writing Scene and Script-
- Module 6 (Eight Weeks)- Directing Actors , Mobile Film Making Basics, and Shooting Scene-
- Module 7 (Ninth Week) - DSLR Camera Handling Basics , Sound Recording Basics, and Shooting a Podcast Show Practicals-

- Module 9 (eleventh Week) - Shooting of Short Film or Tele Film-
- Module 10 (Twelfth Week) - Editing, Dubbing, and Color Grading-

- Module 12 (Sixteenth Week) - Screening of Short Film-
At the end of the course, each participant will carry a short film directed by them (as a team or individually) and basic knowledge of filmmaking that will fire them further into filmmaking.
